RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has 2 immediate openings for PRN or Part Time Residential Assistant.  The schedule will be 16 or 24 hrs/wk; Friday, Saturday, plus Sunday if 24 hrs desired; third shift, 10:45pm-7:00am).  Full training will be given to you to provide direct social service assistance to individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.  This schedule is perfect for students seeking experience in the field.

REQUIREMENTS

High school or GED.  Experience in residential facilities, mental health, or behavioral health preferred. Valid Tennessee driver’s license and a safe driving record required.

JOB DUTIES

This position is primarily responsible for the supervision and safety of all residents in a 10 bed group home for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Residential assistants offer daily training to each resident on Activities of Daily Living such as cooking, cleaning and hygiene.  RAs distribute medications and ensure that the home is maintained in the manner required by licensure.
