Description

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit hospital and community mental health center headquartered in Oak Ridge, TN, has an opening for a full-time EHR Systems Administrator. This is an in-office (not remote) position at our Oak Ridge, TN, location. Top candidates will bring a knowledge of SQL, a collaborative customer service focus, and preferably experience working in a healthcare claims environment.  You will find a friendly solutions-oriented team and a client-focused culture that values the inherent meaning in our work.

Ridgeview provides a wide range of outpatient programs and services throughout a six-county geographic region, including Anderson, Campbell, Morgan, Roane, Scott, and Fentress counties. In addition, Ridgeview operates a 16 bed Joint Commission accredited adult inpatient unit located at our main center in Oak Ridge. Ridgeview receives funding from Medicare, Medicaid/TennCare, commercial insurance, federal, state and local funding sources.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years’ work experience in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Business.

Required Technical Skills:

  • EHR/EMR system administration
  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder
  • SQL Stored Procedures
  • Crystal Reports
  • ODBC Connections

Preferred Skills:

  • Healthcare/mental healthcare experience
  • EHR/EMR applications trainer
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong communications skills and a team player who can work with multidisciplinary teams with ease.
  • Experience working with healthcare claims data.

JOB DUTIES

EHR System Administrator who can develop and maintain reports (SQL & Crystal), forms, custom configuration, interfaces, and output files from an EHR/EMR system. Analyzes work & data flow and creates efficient and logical solutions. Plans, schedules, reviews, and performs analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of assigned technology and application systems.

Works with EHR team to resolve help desk tickets, works with software vendor(s) to resolve issues, and training to Ridgeview staff as needed. Collaborates with Director of Clinical Informatics, leaders, and team members to develop efficient, cost-conscious technology and applications system specifications that maximize organizational performance. Participates in solution testing and documents clear and concise system descriptions that meet project requirements and departmental quality standards.

Identifies ways of improving current services and consults with management on issues and problems. Evaluates requests for programming and provides timetables for completion. Ensures security, integrity, and privacy of Ridgeview data in conjunction with Ridgeview policies and procedures.
