REQUIREMENTS

Minimum high school graduate or equivalent with skills in data entry, claims submission, follow-up and management of problematic reimbursement issues.   A minimum of five years of prior medical office/hospital claims experience with additional experience working with third party payors to resolve complex reimbursement issues is required.  Prior experience in billing mental health claims is preferred.  Must possess excellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills; mathematical aptitude; sense of discipline and ability to work under minimal supervision.  Must complete work with a sense of urgency and high degree of accuracy.  Must exercise discretion and good judgment in communicating account information to third parties.  Must be available to work regularly scheduled hours.
 

JOB DUTIES

In addition to responsibilities for account management (billing and follow-up), this position is responsible for identifying and managing more complex billing issues within the department..  Will provide training and guidance to team members with resolving problematic account issues, and will directly manage larger and more complex billing issues as needed.  Will maintain good communication with major third party payor sources.  Must  have strong analytical and problem solving skills;  competent and willing to work directly with clients and/or third party payors to ensure that billing information is current and precise.  Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with clients.
