REQUIREMENTS

A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a mental health field is required. Significant experience and LCSW or LPC-MHSP preferred.  MPA required. Experience in Crisis Services required. Management/ administrative experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license and have a safe driving record.

 

JOB DUTIES

Primary role is to provide assessment of consumers experiencing a psychiatric emergency.  Determines crisis needs, crisis intervention, telephone consultation, linkage with community resources, and pre-screening admissions of emergency hospital commitments.  Follows-up with consumer to ensure appropriate service is available.  Driving and travel in Ridgeview’s service area is required.  Positive interaction and communication with community agencies and other public relations activities essential.  Must maintain satisfactory driving record and remain insurable.  Excellent verbal and written skills required.  Knowledge of DSM-V criteria and ability to determine preliminary mental health diagnosis. Provides a team leadership role to Mobile Crisis staff. Assists Director of Mobile Crisis with managing day to day functions of the Mobile Crisis Team on an as needed basis. Responsible for management of the Mobile Crisis database. Provides supervisory coverage for the Mobile Crisis Coordinator on an as needed basis.
