RIDGEVIEW Behavioral Health Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Bachelor’s Level Pregnancy Health Coach to provide pregnancy support in the Campbell and Scott County, TN, communities.  This position will be part of the new TN Strong Families program exclusively serving pregnant women and new mothers with children from birth through age 2.  The Pregnancy Health Coach will help women learn realistic solutions that create a healthy pregnancy, enhance baby's growth and development, minimize the risk of health issues, and create a strong and lasting bond with their baby.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree.  If Bachelor's isn't in social sciences / mental health (ex human development, counseling, psychology, social work) or includes 15+ credit hours of related courses on transcript, then relevant training and supervision will be provided after hire.  The position requires a self-starter with excellent time management skills who can work closely in a team environment facilitating warm handoffs, problem solving, and co-facilitating groups.


JOB DUTIES

The Pregnancy Health Coach will support clients in on-going prenatal care appointments, including high-risk OBGYN care at nearest hospital, education on healthy nutrition, reproductive health, and family planning supports.  The Pregnancy Health Coach will co-facilitate the Mothers and Babies group (this is the name of the curriculum) with the Outpatient Therapist and collect and maintain pertinent data as prescribed.  The co-facilitated group will provide knowledge, tools, and resources that every mother needs, whether she is currently pregnant or has recently given birth. The Pregnancy Health Coach will work alongside the Care Coordinator to help provide transportation to pre and post-natal medical appointments along with other duties to promote positive health for both mom and baby.
