Description

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a social work or counseling Outpatient Therapist at our Oak Ridge, TN, location.

For unlicensed staff, supervision is provided for paths leading to LCSW or LPC-MHSP.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling. On TN state licensure track to obtain LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT license. Must be trained in providing trauma-informed treatment with willingness to become trauma-certified. Prefer 1+ years experience working with clients suffering with substance use issues. Prefer group therapy experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with people from differing backgrounds and cultures. Must be comfortable and competent (with training) to use televideo equipment to provide mental health services as needed.

 

JOB DUTIES

This position is part of the MIST (Mothers and Infants Sober Together) program. The MIST Outpatient Therapist is responsible for the delivery of trauma-informed outpatient clinical services consisting of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including psychotherapy and group therapy. This position requires consultation with other disciplines, participation in treatment team meetings, and collaboration with administration in task team meetings designed to improve clinical care.

  • Work toward licensure as LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT if not already licensed
