Description

RIDGEVIEW Behavioral Health Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center located in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Bachelor’s Level Housing Coordinator to be the go-to person for Ridgeview's housing continuum. The schedule is Monday-Friday during business hours plus on call availability.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in social services or related field with 2+ years of verifiable experience related to mental health or housing; ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects; willingness to travel locally regularly within Ridgeview’s housing area; passion for working directly with those who struggle and the systems in place to support them.  Position requires TN driver’s license and safe driving record.


JOB DUTIES

The Housing Coordinator provides support and oversight for Ridgeview's housing continuum including Transitional House, HUD properties, apartments, and recovery housing.

  • Managing the transitional house which includes referrals, wait list, screenings, intake (for the transitional house), ordering supplies, collecting rent, taking residents shopping for food and helping manage food stamps, oversight of resident medications, on call for emergencies, and assisting residents with permanent housing as needed.
  • Managing recovery house referrals, wait list, screenings, background checks, leases, move-ins/outs, support to recovery house peer manager, address emergencies, on call when peer manager is off.
  • Managing referrals, wait list, screenings, background checks, leases, move-ins/outs to Ridgetop, Blue Ridge, and Oak Ridge apartments. Providing oversight to peer managers at BlueRidge and Ridgetop, address emergencies, on call when peer manager is off.
  • Managing Oak Ridge apartments – collect rent, do monthly inspections, address maintenance issues, etc.
  • Monitoring inspections/work orders for all facilities.
  • HUD paperwork, audits, recertifications, monitoring website.
  • Networking, attending community meetings (TVCEH, TORCH, HART, ORHA, etc.)
