Description

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center, is seeking a Rural Fatherhood Program Coordinator to lead the launch of this new grant-based program designed to equip fathers with the on-the-ground tools, guidance, and support they need to be effective and nurturing parents.  We intend for this role to be based at our main location in Oak Ridge, TN, but are open to candidates who would prefer to be based at one of our other outpatient locations.

For unlicensed staff, supervision is provided for paths leading to LCSW or LPC-MHSP.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Master’s degree in a social sciences or mental health field, especially social work or counseling, or includes 15+ credit hours of related courses on transcript with relevant training and supervision being provided after hire.  Prefer experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.  Experience working with parents with children is preferred.  Must maintain a valid TN driver’s license and a safe driving record.  The position requires a self-starter with excellent time management and leadership skills.

JOB DUTIES

The Rural Fatherhood Program is designed to equip fathers with the on-the-ground tools, guidance, and support they need to be effective and nurturing parents.  The Rural Fatherhood Program Coordinator is responsible for overall grant management, reporting requirements, development of program policies, implementation of strategic outreach efforts, provision of individual and team support to two Bachelor’s level Fatherhood Coaches, and provision of direct care to program participants (including evidence-based fatherhood parenting curriculum, support groups, linkage to wrap-around services).  The Rural Fatherhood Program covers a seven-county area divided into three separate Fatherhood Teams, and some travel is required.

  • Work toward licensure as LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT if not already licensed
