Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a PRN LPN ( Licensed Practical Nurse ) on our Inpatient Unit in Oak Ridge, TN.  The right candidate will be scheduled 12 hours per week on the 11am-11:30pm shift (12 hour shift with a half hour meal break).  Shift may fall on any day of the week including weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a graduate of an accredited technical/practical nursing program and possess a current license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.  Must demonstrate capacity to work effectively in a therapeutic relationship with individuals and groups.  A minimum of one year psychiatric nursing experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able obtain certification in CPR and CPI.

JOB DUTIES

This position is primarily responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care delivered to adult and geriatric patients on the inpatient unit.  The registered nurse, as the team leader, provides immediate direction to the other nursing team members.
