Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center, based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a PRN Discharge Summary Specialist in our Inpatient Unit. This is a temporary position estimated as a 6-month 40 hr/wk project.  Hours are flexible for the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a degree or diploma from a college or an accredited school of nursing; possess a current unrestricted license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing; and demonstrate capacity to competently complete discharge summaries following accepted guidelines.  Requires excellent writing skills.  Requires ability to access patient information using both paper and electronic health records.

JOB DUTIES

The position is primarily responsible for completing discharge summaries for the inpatient unit utilizing information pulled from both paper and electronic health records.
